Today’s post will be short and sweet since we are heading to breakfast. It’s been a great trip with weather, just the right amount of activities, and also some much needed down time.
Yesterday we had tickets to attend the performance of the Miracle Of Christmas at the Sight and Sound Theatre. My goodness, it was wonderful. If you ever have the chance to attend one of the productions it will amaze you. Just the size and scope of the surround stage and the sets. We set beside a group of retired teachers from Houston- you know me, I’m going to visit! – and a family visiting from Houston as well. I introduced them to each other. LOL!!!!
On our way back to the condo we made a detour so we could go by the Chateau on the Lake resort to see the gingerbread village on display. More photos will be posted on my FB pages simply because I’ve no time to edit and post here, but it was quite charming. The buildings stand more than 3 feet tall and include two houses, four store fronts, and a church.
Ingredients used includes 300 lb. of powdered sugar, 120 lb. egg whites, 600 lb.s assorted candy, cookies, pretzels, crackers, pop tarts, and scooby snacks. It took the designers about 175 hours to create.
We are off to breakfast and a bit more shopping, our final dinner out tonight, followed by driving thru a Christmas lights display, then tomorrow we hit the road and head north. First to Alma to take Elda home, then on Macon. It’s nice to travel even just a few hours away from home.
I’ll be back Monday with a FB LIVE, as well as posting but for now, I’m closing down for the rest of the week. Have a great day doing whatever makes you happy, and God Bless.
