Hurray!! Rain through the night and continuing this morning!!! I love sleeping with the sound of rain and light rumbles of thunder, and the best part? A day free from watering my containers!! We have a 24 hour vacation from gardening and yard work – a brief staycation! LOL. I always felt that way about those early morning calls receiving word that school was dismissed due to inclement weather. A work free, unplanned day to stay home and do whatever you want! For a person who is structured and task-oriented, having a forced day at home inside with nothing planned and on the daily agenda is like vacation without packing!!! Woo Hoo!!!
Always Needing To Replenish Sympathy Cards
Unfortunately, I am always needing sympathy cards. I tend to go through those more than any other card greetings, so several years ago I began switching to “thinking of you” greetings which can be used for multiple things – get well, birthday, and sympathy. With no inside sentiment those cards can be used however needed, so there is always a card available to send for those times you need words of comfort to send to someone hurting.
2:5 Ratio For Creating My Splotchy Background!
There is something about taking those splotchy stamps such as the one found in the Perched In A Tree stamp set and splotching it all over for background coverage. Is that even a word – splotching??? And of course, the music person just automatically puts rhythm to that splotchy process – 2 taps of ink to 5 pounces of stamp to paper. It’s quick, repetitive, and by pouncing that many times without re-inking I can get great coverage with multiple generational stamping in varied hues of color. (FYI- I also can not mentally recite the Lord’s Prayer in my head without putting it to music. Can not make it through without the tune popping up! Go figure.)
Until next time, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!!!
