Good Morning and welcome to March 7! Jim and I are in birthday mode since his was yesterday, mine is today. Last night’s Stamp ‘n Sip group brought cards, special birthday wishes, beautiful flowers, and special drinks to celebrate. Jim has a favorite lemon cake he loves so I served lemon cake with ice cream, and our special drinks were lemondrop martinis and lemon-blueberry rum flavored lemonade. All tasty but truly just gathering with this group of ladies is a treat in itself! They are teachers and housewives, ladies in their 30’s to mid 60’s, grandmas and a mother-to-be, friends from years past to people who just met at the dining room paper crafting table but when they get together the laughter and tears roll. And don’t feel a bit sorry for Pool Boy Jim having to deal with this invasion – he is right in the middle of it!!!!
A Creative Fun Fold Card For A Music Teacher!
We have received many cards between us and I wish I could share everyone, but I wanted to be sure and highlight this one. For over 40 years I taught and the majority had something to do with music – elementary music, Middle School and High School choirs, Band, as well as music therapy in my speech implementer positions with language and Sped students. My team member and friend Johnna Bixenman-Clarke made this beautiful card and she put alot of time and effort into it – thank you my friend!!!
We first met at the Catholic School and we teamed together for the school masses. I played piano, she played the organ, then before long we ended up switching the instruments. She has taken to card making and has started a card ministry at her church parish with a group of ladies and they have raised enough to fund VBS. Now she has a team member who in turn has started a card ministry at her church as well. I love how paper crafting can produce the ripple effect through the sharing of your talents with others.
Final Thought….
Some people might enjoy being taken out for dinner or having a special day trip planned. What do I want to do for my birthday????? CLEAN MY CRAFT ROOM!!!! LOL!!! For the past 6 weeks I’ve been going from one class to another project and have just been tossing things around so I can keep rolling and it’s bad in there!!! I am heading there right now so have a great day, keep crafting, and God Bless!!!
And if I don’t post tomorrow you may need to call in a rescue squad to save me from my mess! LOL!!
