I’ve always enjoyed receiving handmade gifts. There’s something about knowing the giver took their time, effort, and talents to create a very special little something for you. My mom was one of those ladies who could whip something up at the drop of a hat. A new table runner, quilted wall hanging, a special pillow for the kids’ beds – you name it, she did it. And Pool Boy’s mom crocheted beautiful afghans. Even baby Cal has a special baby afghan made by Great. So it’s not surprising that I like to create little gifts as well, but from a papercrafter’s view point!
At our Stamp ‘n Sip last week Tena Levett shared a great gift with the gals, and it was perfect for the New Year. Tena is a very crafty lady, she is a fellow demonstrator, and she has a group of friends who gather monthly to make framed decor pieces. She has been on our Tuesday group FB LIVES several times sharing how she adds mini lights to framed art, and just last week she shared another little project that will be perfect for her to demonstrate in the future on our group page.
I’ve never taken the time to make these calendars, but I know they are a popular item to give. Last year I had a calendar from my Doris in Iowa, but I didn’t have a new one so I’m tickled Tena took the time to create these!!!!
Here is a sideview of the calendar. You can create any stamped scene or image to add to the front – make it seasonal, something that works all year long, whatever!
I texted Tena to see if she would share the directions and to have her approval to share with you, and I thing the picture above explains it perfectly!!! She ordered the calendars from Tailored Expressions so you can easily google that, but I believe the dollar stores have been known to carry them as well.

Final Thoughts….
Being a crafter isn’t just about making pretty projects. It’s also about SHARING your talents with others through little gifts. It’s kind of two-fold: you warm the heart of person receiving it, and you warm yours as you share. Think about ways you can share your love of crafting – be it papercrafting, sewing, quilting, crochet, and the list goes on and on – with others. Go ahead – make someone’s day!!!
Our daughter and her family are coming tomorrow for a special occasion – our little guy Calvin will be turning 1 on Saturday. He has brought so much joy to our family, and we are looking forward to seeing him celebrate with his parents. Life has certainly changed for them now he is walking everywhere! Until next week, have a great weekend, find sometime to do some crafting, and God Bless!!!!
