Alternate Ideas For Change Is Beautiful - April's Paper Pumpkin Kit!

Today was a PERFECT day to catch up on some paper crafting since it was cloudy, rainy, and chilly outside. I worked on putting together several past pumpkin kits (yes, even we demos get behind in projects!), fixing a banner for a baby shower table, AND continuing with a bit of purging. I’m always amazed at how creative people can be with taking the Paper Pumpkin kits and changing up the cards for alternate ideas. The rule follower here has a hard time doing something else! So when I opened the Change Is Beautiful kit, I immediately set aside a couple of the cards and envelopes before following the directions for the other cards. I felt like such a REBEL! LOL!!!

***I loved the bright colors with the black background. And by cutting this card up I was able to get 2 cards out of one card in the kit! Sweet!!!***

Alternate Card 1:

I added a Basic Black card base with mats in Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay. I ran the Bermuda Bay mat through the die cutting machine with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder that is retiring on May 2. By adding a scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (also retiring) I was able to simply use one of the folded panels from the original piece! There were extra clouds as well as the flowers, and then I added a banner from the Hippo And Friends Die, and voila! Done!!!!

Alternate Card 2:

***Here is the larger panel from the original card in the kit. Again, I had extra flowers, the banner, and the butterfly to add. With a touch of ribbon – 2 cards out of one!***

I again used the same card stock items – Basic Black card base, mats in Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay, and with the extra pieces in the kit I was able to add dimension to the card. I used the Polished Pink sheer ribbon to complete!!! These cards are both heading to our girls!
