We ventured out today for a late lunch and tour of the Garden District here in New Orleans. Jim decided we were having po’ boys at Mahoney’s and wow! Delish!!! His had fried shrimp, bacon, and oysters and was somewhat “dressed” with lettuce and a garlic/mayo combination (aioli), but I wasn’t quite as adventuresome. Give me the Club with ham, turkey, and bacon “fully dressed” with all of the fixin’s. So very good!!! By the way “fully dressed” means lettuce, mayo, tomato, and pickles. New way of saying load it up with all of the toppings!
Today’s FB LIVE featured these two alternatives to the Sweet Sunflowers Paper Pumpkin kit. I’m thinking that this one may well be the prettiest kit Stampin’ Up has produced when you look at the card bases and the envelopes included.
These bases are too pretty to have for a card back, so first cut the card base into two pieces measuring 4 and 1/8 by 5 and 3/8. I plan to use the card piece on the left of the picture for another day. I took the piece on the right and cut it in half at 2 and 1/8, then used the strips to create the cards in the picture at the top by adding solid colored card bases. One card stretched to make three – a great way to stretch our materials and add variety!
Tomorrow’s agenda involves tickets at a Creole Cooking School in the French Quarter. Both of our kids have experienced it and they were very vocal about us attending. It will be interesting!!! Will try to take pics to post. And If everything goes as planned, I will be doing a FB LIVE on the group page tomorrow evening even though Pam isn’t with me. It’s been a busy summer with lots of changing dates and cancelling so we want to get back on a routine again. Be warned though – my videoing equipment is my original $14.95 camera holder so it may take me several starts before I get it oriented the right way! Until then, take care and keep crafting! God Bless!
