Many Stampin’ Up demonstrators host retreats and stamp camps for their customers. Pam and I have hosted one for several years in March. Some were in person, some online, and the past two years we have offered both versions. They are lots of work and preparation but always enjoyed. This year we’ve already reserved the date for a retreat in November as well. But this past Sunday we had a very low-key one focused not only on crafting but also the social and Christ centered.
One of my favorite group pages on Facebook is Creating For Christ With Ronda and Julie, with Ronda Wade and Julie Williamson Salva. It is open to ANYONE, nondenominational, and not simply Stampin’ Up people. There are book studies, bible studies, prayer chains, monthly crafting projects, and the list goes on. Please check out the link below to their group page and request to join!

They also host retreats, and this past spring I participated. I loved it, and decided to share with our ladies at Zion Lutheran this summer a taste of their retreat. With the help of a grant from Thrivent I was able to purchase the goody bags of supplies, as well as frames for a service project and we had a fun 3-4 hour retreat full of crafting and fellowship which we all need. Other than paying for their Subway sandwiches it was totally free. I used some of the card designs from the spring retreat, changed up a few, typed up tutorials and emailed them out. The hardest part of the whole event was making sure I had their Subway orders correct! With our church having summer respite hours we were able to start around 10:30 and most were heading home by 1:30 with the rest of the day free!
Final Thoughts….
