An Easily Reproduced Card With Trimming The Tree!

We continue to move through our days in New Orleans and today’s agenda included a visit to the Creole Cooking School. What a treat! Both of our kids have attended and encouraged us to go. This was simply the demonstration presentation but there is also a hands on experience as well. As for paper crafting, my goal today was to make it through the FB LIVE for our private group page. Goal accomplished with a simple pass-fail please! We moved furntiture, lighting, and I had camera difficulties but I was still able to demonstrate the card below!

We started this group over 2 and 1/2 years ago to keep our friends crafting during the pandemic, and we still continue once a week if at all possible! (Not would have happened if I had to use the camera holder set up I used today!) Thank goodness we persevered AND upgraded filming equipment since we started!

Final Thoughts…

***Not sure why this photo was so hazy but I loved the planters and ferns growing on this beautiful balcony beside the cooking school.***

Our chef for the day was Diann (aka Gumbo Marie) and she did a wonderful presentation with cooking and history of the area. There were close to 20 in attendance and she did a great job of interacting and connecting with everyone.

**Her first dish was gumbo with fresh biscuits and it was delish, but my favorite was the** ***jambalaya she cooked with andouille sausage. Wonderful!*** ***The next dish was pralines – not one of my favorites and Jim also said he could pass on them. But the final dish – oh my!!!***

***Butter, brown sugar, bananas, and rum – lots of rum. Banana Foster! And her sprinkle of Voodoo Magic – cinnamon! – onto the flames really set it off!***

So this is the only picture you get of my banana foster – it disappeared before I remembered to come out of my sugar high and take a photo! That picture may look like I swiped my finger around trying to get every little bit, but I didn’t!!! I refrained!!

Tomorrow’s agenda is hopefully a tour of the French Quarter along with a brunch and drive. Our days are quickly disappearing before we begin Back Stage. Until tomorrow, keep crafting and God Bless!
