Remember those road trips we took as a family back in the good old days? The ones in a car with no satellite radios such as Sirrius/XM? Where you had to search for radio stations hoping you would find one the whole family wanted to hear???? Driving in that car that had no 8 track, cassette, nor cd players so you were at the mercy of the FM/AM buttons?? Heck, I can remember our family driving to California when I was 5 with NO AIR CONDITIONING! Thank goodness for Sirrius/XM, bluetooth, and air conditioning now! Of course, with the chance of freezing rain early tomorrow morning I’m pretty sure the air won’t be needed! Thankfully we are leaving mid morning when temps are suppose to be above freezing.
So, yesterday I pulled out one of the good, old stamping techniques that has been around for years. I shared it on my FB LIVE yesterday, and was suprised how many had not heard of it. It’s the Rock and Roll technique which gives you added depth and color to your stamped images. And in such an easy way!!!

Now, try to focus on the process here versus the final product. I chose a stamp set that is retired because I wanted larger images where the leaves and flowers were separate stamps. Is that needed on the rock and roll technique?? Nope, but for demonstration purposes I felt it was.
Can you see the flowers are stamped in two different inks???? I chose Petunia Pop, then added Blackberry Bliss around the edges of the stamp. Same with the leaves – first inked with Lemon Lime Twist, then edged with Granny Apple Green. I used multiple choices from Sale-A-Bration (the Irresistible Blooms DSP, the Fresh Freesia Ribbon, and the Sequins), along with a die from the Memorable Blooms bundle, so lots of current products were used as well.
If you missed my FB LIVE yesterday you can catch the recording at the link below. And while you are there, please like/follow me so you receive notifications of future LIVES, stamping classes, and current promotions offered by Stampin’ Up. Thank you in advance for supporting my very small business!!

You can also check it out on my YouTube channel by clicking on the link below. I try to upload most of my FB LIVES to the channel, and I will tell you it’s easier to locate specific ones since the thumbnail sketch is a picture of the card I’m sharing. Much easier than scrolling through the weekly lives!
Final Thoughts….
I’ve not had a chance to check out all of the new info from Stampin’ Up today but I did see more new product heading our way!!! I will be posting daily while we travel, so be sure to check back and see what’s happening with the Rist’s on their way to New Orleans. Once we make it out of northeast Missouri the weather is suppose to be beautiful in the 70’s – that’s my favorite way to enjoy football!!! Until next time, keep crafting, keep stamping, and God Bless!!!
