We are off to pick apples after I finish this morning’s blog post! Apple season was always a favorite at my house growing up because that meant we would be having apple dumplings – a specialty made by my mom. Nobody passed on one of her apple dumplings! I’ve tried to replicate them in the years since she passed but they are never right. Thankfully, our daughter Megan has the touch and is able to carry on the apple dumpling tradition!
When Mom passed away 10 years ago, Megan spent the day before the funeral making apple dumplings so every family member could enjoy one of those treats we so lovingly associate with Mom. I’m so thankful Mom’s traditional dish continues through our daughter’s hands. We are heading to see Megan and her family this weekend – wonder if apple dumplings will be on the agenda? Yum!!!

Isn’t this adorable????? I crafted this tag for our tag box last night on our private FB group page. I paired up the Celebrate With Tags bundle along with pieces I had left over from the Snowman Magic Bundle – super cute!!! The snowfall background was created using a die from the Celebrate With Tags bundle on the Balmy Blue background, then layered on top of a Basic White piece.
