Another Project Using The Note Cards And Envelopes!

We had a relaxing weekend and spent time with our grandsons! It’s the first time Ben has been at our house since he started crawling and pulling up last week, so he was a busy boy checking out everything. Cal had another crafting session with stamping. I turned to my Paper Pumpkin ink spot collection and a small stamp set I’d picked up at a garage sale – smaller stamps and ink pads made stamping with little hands a bit easier. The first time Cal stamped he was fine until he had inky fingers, then he was done! Didn’t want those splotches on his hands.

I shared some fall note card gift ideas last week, and wanted to take a couple more days using these cards. Our notecards/envelopes are one of our best deals in the catalog. They come in both Basic White and Very Vanilla with 20 cards/envelopes per package. At $10 per package, you can stretch them out over several gifts! I will have 4 gifts stamped and packaged with one packet of notecards/envelopes. That’s $2.50 a gift, but one that is specially designed and made for the person receiving it!

My friend Pam is going to be a grandmother again – very soon! – and these cards are going to her son and daughter in law. I got to know Brittany more last year while I was a mentor with the local MomCo organization, and I know she is so very ready for baby boy Cosby to arrive. She and Alex have a little girl who will be 3 and they will have their hands full with adding a baby. These cards will be available when she needs a quick thank you, and I’ll tuck in a Casey’s giftcard as well so they can always pick up a pizza on one of those nights when they don’t have the energy to cook.

I used the Cutest Onesie bundle from the annual catalog along with the stamp set Tags Of Thanks, and turned to the Everyday Happiness DSP package for mats. I’m not one to use the traditional “pink for girls, blue for boys” color palette, but I love the look of Lost Lagoon for a change of pace from tradition! I keep a supply of diecut labels on hand from past card classes so I reached for the stash and dug through for several labels that would work!

Two Toned Card Stock Paper Share Still Available!!!

After using the Two Toned Card Stock in a techniques class, AND after discussing with some of the members, I’ve put together a paper share that will include ALL 53 colors from the Stampin’ Up Color Collection, and you can register at the link below. Paper shares will be cut in 6×12 inch pieces for $30 OR purchase two shares (which will be packaged as 12 x 12 pieces) for $55! Be sure to also include info if share is to be mailed. Registration ends October 2!

Two-tone card stock is fun to create with – you can tear, you can sand, you can crinkle and wrinkle -to add variety and depth to your paper creations. And purchasing a share is so much economical than purchasing multiple packages of just one color.

Final Thoughts…..

Have you pulled your craft supplies out with your kids and grandkids??? Or maybe you have some youngsters in your neighborhood you interact with and would enjoy crafting along with you. Nora and Fiona enjoy crafting with Paper Pumpkin kits when they visit, and Cal is always open to trying his hand as well. I’ve no doubt that baby Ben will as well.

It’s nice to feed those creative juices, but better yet is the time spent one on one with these youngsters no matter the age. Face to face dialog is so important, and for sure much better than screentime – whether tv, ipad, or phone. There is too much stuff out there for these impressionable minds, so what better way to talk and visit then doing so over crafting?????
