Today is a special day in our family, because it’s the day our family went from two members, to three. Our first born – Megan Marie – is celebrating her birthday! Hard to believe that 39 years have gone by since the day she was born. She is a spunky, independent woman who can be a force to reckon with, be it at work or protecting her babes. She is smart, opinionated, but oh so loving and caring, and we are blessed to call her ours.
Beautiful Balloons – Not Just For Birthday Cards!!!

The first thing that jumps out when you look at the Bright and Beautiful Suite, or the Beautiful Balloons Bundle, is how cute it would be making birthday cards! But, Stampin’ Up added versatility to this set by also including the greetings I used in today’s card. This card would work for a job promotion, graduation, or anything you want to celebrate and it’s NOT birthday! I did feel the need to change up the color combo from previous days, so out with Berry Burst and Blueberry Bushel, in with Azure Afternoon and Lemon Lolly. As for the Lemon Lime Twist – one of my favorites, so it gets to stay and play!!!
Using Your Catalog For A Starting Point!!

I wanted to use the fringe die that is included in the bundle, but wasn’t sure how to start. So I simply turned to my annual catalog to look at the examples Stampin’ Up included!!! You can see the card I used for my creative springboard that I cased, with multiple changes.
- Changing the angle of the fringe from corner to corner diagonal to about 1.5 inches cut on the side.
- Different DSP patterns, and flipped with the solid on the top, pattern on the bottom
- Fringe on the left is a patterned DSP, I chose a solid color from the DSP
- The obvious change – no stars but instead I went with a cluster of balloons
- Last, I added a label for the greeting and anchored the balloon strings to it
Final Thoughts…..
I have mentioned multiple times that I keep a current catalog within arms reach of my work area. Our catalogs are made as a resource tool!!!! Study the examples they have included and you will see ideas for technique, color combinations, and product usage in different ways. There are even catalog icons showing special things about our products such as designed by a Million Dollar Achiever, Reversible stamps, products new to the catalog, even product ideas that are quick to recreate in multiples! Those icons are located on page 3 of your catalog and they are throughout the entire catalog. Use them to help you in your papercrafting journeys and to make the most of your Stampin’ Up products!!
Until tomorrow, I hope you have a great day doing what you love best, and God Bless!
And thank you Lord for blessing us with Megan!!!
