Begonia’s in Crushed Curry, Leaves In Night Of Navy!

We’ve been creating this week with the stamp set Begonia Belle, an exclusive stamp set that is only available online through accessing the Product Of The Month promotion. I noticed yesterday that the August product is ready for promotion and it’s a beautiful fall DSP with subtle coloring, but I’m staying with the begonias for the remainder of July.

I had a friend recently ask me if Secret Sea was my new, go-to color. I had to stop and think, cause my go-to color has always been Night Of Navy, but I can see why she asked. In the past month I’ve used Secret Sea multiple times, including the Christmas Card Classes. But my go-to color? Nope. Night Of Navy still remains my go-to color.

Since I love to use our DSP’s when selecting my color choices, it appears to not be the case though. I was determined to use Night Of Navy and Crushed Curry for today’s card, but do you know there is only a couple DSP’ that have Night Of Navy as one of the corresponding color choices? And Secret Sea is in so many! We already know that 2027 will be a Color Refresh to our collections, and since Secret Sea will be retiring that year as an In Color I’m wondering if it will simply transfer into a color collection. I could easily tell Gray Granite to take a hike and make way for Secret Sea – how about you???? I tend to think it will make the refresh coming 2027!

I love the combination of Crushed Curry and Night Of Navy!!! Now some realists would have a problem with the navy leaves, but not me! Nothing dictates that all leaves MUST BE GREEN!!! The majority of the leaves were stamped off first, giving the appearance of two navy shades. The detail in the begonia flowers is gorgeous as well – creating two layers of color as well as spots of white highlights to add depth and interest.

And as for the embellishments??? They are Secret Sea – but you’d never know when adding them to a card with Night Of Navy!!!

Final Thoughts…..

Just giving you a heads up about next week’s posts. With the start of a new month, we have multiple promotions and happenings heading our way from Stampin’ Up! and a new calendar of events to share. Other than the supplies needed for our granddaughters’ scrapbooking sessions I’ve nothing else work related besides tutorials to type going with me. We’ve new products heading our way and if you love Stampin’ Up!’s card stock, get ready because a sale is going to roll out next week.

So, what’s your go-to color of choice???? We all have color favorites we turn to, just as we have color favorites we prefer to wear. If you’re not sure what your color preferences are, just look in your closet!!!! I have multiple shades of navy, corals, and lots of black. And of course, KC Chiefs Red – that’s a given!
