Last night was our final card class of the year and then it’s time to start concentrating more on Christmas and family. I wanted to share with you one of the cards we made – no words, just beautiful trees embossed in white with a textured sky.
To create the background of the card above, we took sponges and simply burnished the background with Orchid Oasis. We didn’t worry about getting darker smudges, ink spots, etc. because it simply adds to the texture of the card. Once your entire piece is covered, we took a second sponge and “pounced” texture with Starry Sky ink. Taking the trees from Campology we added the white embossing, and then added two or three clear rhinestones for embellishment. Beautiful!
We are off to see the grandkids today for a short visit. Miss Fiona will be in her school’s Christmas program – the first one for her! Lord, let’s hope she behaves herself! LOL. I’ve directed too many Christmas programs, pageants, and musicals for little ones through 30plus years of teaching – you never QUITE know what’s going to happen! Until next time, God Bless!
