We are experiencing a rainy day today in Florida but we sent the kids off with raincoats and umbrellas for their last day at Disney. They have had a wonderful week meeting Disney characters, enjoying the rides, and simply spending their time at the “happiest place on earth”! The popular thing now is for families to have matching shirts at the parks. I saw one family that had the following: child’s shirt – I’m here for the rides; mom- I’m here for the drinks; dad-I’m here to pay! Another family had “most expensive day EVER” on their shirts but my favorite was the man standing behind me at the haunted house. His shirt said “Let’s have matching shirts” said NO MAN!!! It’s amazing when you think how a man’s vision and entrepreneurship beginning in the 1950’s – with just one theme park and a popular cartoon mouse – grew into the attraction it is today! How his dream became a reality with perseverance and fortitude and determination is something we all should learn from.
Cards From The Stamp ‘n Sip Gals
One of the things we do at our team meetings monthly is to have a theme for a card “show and tell”. Some participate in person, some by sending a picture, some do not but it doesn’t matter – there is no competition or prize but just a chance to see creations from others. gather to visit, and connect with others. Below are some of the cards from our January meeting. The theme was Valentine BUT not limited to that.
Some of the team was travelling, some were sick and unable to attend, others live miles away and are unable to gather with us – doesn’t matter! We are a low-key, low-stress group that just enjoy papercrafting.
