Good morning everyone!!!! It’s that time of year that we pull out anything close to graduation stamps and go to town creating cards to honor those who persevered and crossed the stage to receive their diplomas. Why is it that the beautiful Pomp and Circumstance score always makes me weepy???? Watching those graduates – whether preschool, kindergarten, high school, college – marching in to the ceremony that honors them always brings tears to my eyes. Maybe it’s just the educator in me. From the music director’s standpoint, it could be because it seems like a never-ending score that is like the energize bunny – you just keep going, and going, and going, until every graduate has arrived to their seats. The bigger the school, the longer you play.
If I have time I enjoy creating cards in the graduate’s school colors. That makes them special and unique, although they might not even notice it. Just be sure to tuck something green, a check, or gift card inside – that’s the important thing, right???
Today’s Card For My FB LIVE!
Today I did a quick post on creating this easy gift card holder. People, it would work for ANYTHING! Switch out the colors and add DSP to create a birthday card, Christmas gift card, wedding – the possibilities are endless. The hardest part is cutting it!
If you missed my FB LIVE you can always go back and watch the recording. Click on the link below to take you to the recording, and while you are there please like and follow me on FB. I do not even pretend to understand the whole analytic thing with Facebook, but I know that the more thumbs ups, likes, follows, etc. helps when posting in other’s newsfeed. I just know that those little likes and comments helps my small business, and for that I thank you!!!

Word of advice – NEVER let go of your circle punches!!!! I have them in all sizes – from 1/2 inch all the way to 2 1/2 inches. They may well be retired but I grab them pretty often when crafting. I used one of the circle punches to cut a thumb hole for the gift card slot, but if you don’t have a circle punch look at what you do have – there are many punches that will work!!!!
Final Thoughts….
Our grandchildren are too young for graduation, but I always loved this picture of Nora’s preschool graduation. Just seeing that sweet face wearing the traditional cap and gown – so much ahead of her! Best of luck to our graduates wherever they are, whatever the age!! Until next time, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!!!!
