It’s amazing what 24 hours can do! Sunday night I was feeling yucky, and yesterday morning the yucky continued in a huge headache. I was the proverbial slug – either sleeping or curled up in my recliner under my fuzzy blanket – and yes, even adults feel better curled up with their blankie! – and basically doing nothing. This morning I popped out of bed and within an hour I had today’s card along with the cards for our church card ministry designed and prepped and away we go! My work area is simply covered with materials used for Valentines, church cards, and bingo make and take so there is another cleaning session in the schedule later today but I feel so much better and already productive!
Loving The Elephant Parade Bundle For Baby Cards!
I love the versatility of the Country Floral Lane DSP in the new mini catalog. As soon as I opened the package and was thumbing through the designs I knew it would be cute for baby cards as well. Balmy Blue and Petal Pink are not my favorite colors in Stampin’ Up’s beautiful array of colors but for some reason I love them in this DSP. I guarantee I’ve reached for and purchased more card stock for these two colors in the last month then I have since they’ve been available! I’m one of those who needs a full package of every color, then they sit there unused if I don’t like them. Are you the same as me?
Quick Tip For Those Who Use Blends!
We do have a Petal Pink blend combo but it is very soft and muted in color saturation. I find I reach for my LIGHT (#159465) and MEDIUM LIGHT (#159463) found in our NATURAL TONES Blends collection for touches of pink. If you ruled out this collection of blends because it’s simply for skin tones, think again! I use all of these shades in my papercrafting! Check them out!
Per Pool Boy Jim’s Words – Our Week Is FLUID!
So, baby boy still isn’t here and now the Chiefs play-off game is scheduled for this coming Saturday. Papa Jim was on it yesterday making plans and working out possible scenarios of how we can be at the hospital and still make it to the game, who will take care of the fur babies, and what way would we travel to KC so everything works! LOL!! That’s usually MY JOB but he has it all figured out and is ready for any possibility – as he says, we just gotta be fluid! (Do you think this guy is excited about this baby??!!?)
