Crafting Opportunities For October!!!

How is it possible we are already at October??? We are in the final quarter of 2026, Christmas is less than 3 months away, AND the first quarter of most schools is ending very soon. (The teacher may have retired, but old teaching habits such as the school calendar still exist!)

Here is a quick posting of the events already scheduled for October:

• STAMP ‘n SIP – Tuesday, October 6. We will gather for an early supper at Ugo’s beginning at 4:30, then move to the Whistle Stop for crafting at 5:30 pm. We will be working on our October frame inserts.
• TECHNIQUES #1 – Wednesday, October 7 – we will gather around my dining room table at noon!
• PENNY’S CROP – Thursday-Sunday, October 8-11 – many of us will be gathering together at Penny’s Crop in Macon, MO. Check with me for more info and Penny’s contact if interested to see if she has openings.
• TECHNIQUES #2 – Wednesday, October 14. We will gather at noon, location still to be determined.
• IN PERSON BINGO – Thursday, Oct. 15 at Zion Lutheran Church beginning at 6 pm. Registration ends on Oct. 9
• OCTOBER CHRISTMAS CARD CLASS – Tuesday, October 20 at Zion Lutheran Church beginning at 1:30pm
• MOM CO ACTIVITY NIGHT – Sunday, October 18, time to be determined. This night is open to Mom Co participants for a Christmas Card gathering!
• ONLINE SPEED BINGO – Monday, October 26 – Facebook Live will start at 6:45 pm central time for a practice game, then the first game will begin at 7pm

October is a busy month, and during the whole month we will also have a benefit for a local family impacted by a serious wreck bringing extended recuperation time and expenses. All of my commissions during October will go towards this benefit, so every card class, every bingo registration, every group, every online order will help this family during the weeks ahead. More info will be posted on Friday. Some of our benefits have raised hundreds of dollars, some over a thousand, but each dollar raised will hopefully be a positive impact for this family during the long recovery time.

October 31 I will be flying to Italy with Pool Boy’s blessings. He requested I also bless him by NOT having to go and NOT feeling guilty about it. So that’s exactly what I will do! I’m excited, a bit nervous, but will be travelling with stamping friends, so hopefully I won’t miss him too much! And visa versa! Thank goodness for cell phones and international coverage.
