This has been a loaded week of work to prepare for upcoming events – when you take time off to travel you have to pay the piper!! I set up my daily chore list and started knocking things off – kits for St. Patrick’s Day samplers, kits for Valentine’s Day samplers (I know – Valentine’s Day is over but I had a group of gals who still wanted it even late!), make and takes prepped for our Spring Retreat, etc. The list was long and quite honestly, I wasn’t sure we were going to make it – BUT THE END IS IN SIGHT!!!!

I love making home decor pieces to display in my home. I have them for every holiday and every season, but I also enjoy making and giving them to others. Basically the cost is the frame, then using my papercrafting supplies I can create something that can be displayed for the future. A gift from the heart, so to speak. The frame above is one I created for all of the participants at the ladies’ retreat tomorrow at our church. I was looking forward to attending but plans had to change. Our family will be gathering this weekend instead to meet baby Calvin James along with famiy photos, but at least I have these frames to send finished for those able to participate.
I use Etsy to purchase downloads of sayings and scriptures – highly reasonable at just a couple of dollars, and once purchased can be used multiple times. With the help of our friend Chris Howe, we were able to size them to our frames, and with a bit of paper, ink, and diecuts we have a beautiful home decor piece to take home. Thanks to Pool Boy’s help by running the diecuts it too just over an hour to assemble 20 frames.
