Today’s post will be a quick, short one since we are heading to New Orleans today. Plans are to stop in St. Louis so Shelby the Canine Diva can spend time with Megan’s family. Shelby loves everyone in our daughter’s family minus one – Lucy the Loveable Dipstick of a Dog. Shelby’s getting older and even though she still moves and acts like a youngster she has lost the patience and tolerance for dogs that still have too much puppy in them. (Of course, Shelby has no remembrance that SHE also was that way towards Megan’s dachshund years ago.) We are lucky that she loves going to both of the kids’ homes and staying with them. The rule of thumb USUALLY is if we travel east, Megan gets her. If travel is going west she stay’s at Evan’s.
Tonight’s stop is Memphis for some wonderful BBQ at the Memphis BBQ Company, then on in to New Orleans tomorrow to enjoy the Super Bowl atmosphere!

I enjoy using my papercrafting for not only cards and gifts, but home decor pieces as well. These are so easy to create – just grab and frame (this one is 5 x 7), your dsp, and start cutting!
The DSP’s I used above are the beautiful Marbled Elegance and the large background is a piece from Nature’s Sweetness. I turned to the Hearts Of Elegance dies along with a die set from Sale-A-Bration. Gold foil is represented in the Marbled Elgance DSP, so I added a gold foil mat to separate the two DSP’s. BUT FIRST, I used that large gold foil mat to run the heart dies – always remember to run some dies out of those foil mats since the edge is all you will see!!
These simple home decor pieces are an easy way to change out holidays, are quick to create, and in some cases make wonderful gifts for friends. I have frames measuring 3 x 3 inch, 4 x 4 inch, 5 x 7, all the way to 12 x 12 inches. When we are near a Michaels or Hobby Lobby I can be found looking through the frame assortments.
Final Thoughts….
I had to wash Pool Boy’s LUCKY CHIEF’S SHIRT over the weekend even though we both have enough Chiefs gear to last us 3 weeks or more. But it’s his lucky one, so I can’t break the tradition! Be sure to check back each day to see what mischief we’ve gotten into, and here’s hoping for a Chief’s win Sunday – because it will be a really long drive home if not. Really long!
Until next time, have a great day, grab and frame and pop together a Valentine’s piece, and God Bless!!!
