Good news!!!! After a better night’s sleep I feel much less slap happy then yesterday!!! The challenge for today is to keep going without a nap – if I can pull that off I hopefully will have the jetlag issues licked. This morning I noticed that I was “no longer on the ship” – if you have never experienced a cruise you might not understand, but after a week of moving side to side with the waves, that boat keeps rocking after you disembark! I’ve a full day of work ahead so hoping I can stay focused and vertical, God willing!
Masculine cards are not the easiest to create. Stampin’ Up gives us beautiful DSP packages, embellishments, lovely stamped images, and greetings in beautiful fonts but most do not work for a man’s card. It’s times like that I begin studying the backsides of the DSP and studying individual stamps to see how I can mix and match to create masculine cards. We have several stampsets that will work – such as Gone Fishin and He’s The Man – but who wants to only make fishing cards for the year???
Scenic Wonders is a good stampset with beautiful images that will work for both feminine and masculine. I went a different route for the greeting by taking it from the Wildlife Wonder stamp set, and the DSP came from the Earthen Elegance paper. I loved how this card came together building around the color combination of Misty Moonlight, Smoky Slate, and Night Of Navy to create a elegant, masculine card that will work for any guy!
After being gone for a couple of weeks we were able to gather again on private group page Stamp. Ink. Paper – Creating With Pam And Lola. Pam shared the card above with the Watercolor World stamp set and it would also make a great masculine card. We started this group back during the Covid lockdown, and we continue to gather most Tuesday evenings with our stamping friends. There is always room to join us, so click on the link below and request to be part of this group. The more the merrier!!! I also shared some of the 3D swaps I received during the incentive trip.

Masculine cards are always a challenge, but when you start thinking outside of the box, pulling elements from different stamp sets, paper, etc. it makes creating the perfect card so much easier. Until tomorrow, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!
