By now you have probably heard that our upcoming Holiday mini catalog has no Halloween DSP. This was probably the biggest take away the day the new catalog was available for demonstrators on line. We love our bright and festive Halloween colors of Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Crushed Curry, and Black! I for one was interested in seeing what combinations of colors and patterns they had designed only to be shocked at none.
FYI – Stampin’ Up HAS announced that with the upcoming scrapbook suites coming the first week of September- which from here on out will be available to EVERYONE – there IS a Halloween DSP pack included, but until then we need to think outside the box to see what creative things we can come up with using the DSPs and cardstocks we have on hand.
Stamping Inked Acrylic Blocks On The Country Woods DSP!

Isn’t a cute Halloween card using the online exclusive stamp set I started skimming through the DSP packets and came up with the white weathered board pattern from the Country Woods DSP. I LOVE this DSP – the colors lend themselves to feminine, masculine, holiday, etc cards – FYI, I really love the Night Of Navy blue wood pattern! Check back tomorrow to see how I created this seasonal background with simply our ink pads and acrylic blocks!
And check out the black/Granny Apple Green checked ribbon!!! Easy to create this by taking the Very Vanilla/Black checked ribbon and coloring it with the Granny Apple Green blends!!! Since I had the Cherry Cobbler And Pearl Adhesive Backed Berry embellishments close at hand, I grabbed my black blend and colored a few to add for the finishing touch!
