Anyone love daisies like me??? There’s something about their bright yellow centers and the simple white petals that brings a smile to my face. They are workhorses in a flower garden if you keep them deadheaded, come in different heights as well as bloom sizes, and are a keeper for flower gardens. I especially love Shasta daisies with the beautiful green notched foliage.
In fact, when we were planning our wedding 42 years ago, I chose white daisies and yellow roses for my bouquet. Maybe they were a popular floral combo back in the early 80’s because I’ve heard others say they used the same flowers for their weddings. More about my bouquet at the end of the post.

So I’m looking forward to the Paper Pumpkin for March – Daisy Daydream! Talking about spring/summer flowers right now is so much better than the snow that’s falling outside. Here’s what’s included in the upcoming kit, available now thru March 10:

Final Thoughts….
Since this is the week of Valentine’s Day I want to share a sweet story with you about Pool Boy and my bouquet. Silk flowers were becoming the thing back in the early 80’s, but I wanted real flowers for our wedding. Our caketopper was a nosegay of flowers that was used for the traditional throwing of the bouquet- there was none of that bride/groom statue on our cake! – , so I was able to keep my bouquet, even though the flowers would die.

Jump ahead about 6 months, and Pool Boy gave me a gift of love – he had the same florist recreate my bouquet in silk flowers, using my holder and ribbons. We had a friend create this glass corner shadowbox, and years later we clipped some of the trailing ribbons and had the florist use them in our daughter’s wedding bouquet. If you’ve not figured out by now, my Pool Boy is a keeper.
I’ll be back tomorrow to share the fun swivel box Tena Levett shared last night on our FB LIVE. Until then, stay safe and warm if you are getting any of this winter weather, find some time today to craft and create, and God Bless!
