I love flowers, but if you drive by our home this summer you will see they are nonexistent! I usually plant so many containers – BIG containers – stuffed with coleus, fountain grasses, impatiens, zinnias, etc. – but not this year. With our travels in May I was going to have to find someone to take care of them, and we are having some work on our deck which meant they would have to be moved – just not worth it. When the hail storm came causing thousands of dollars of damage I was so very thankful my pots were empty because the flowers would have been victims to hail damage. Now add in new roofing, guttering, and painting of the house and it was a wise decision to scale back gardening this year!!!
Thankful For Stampin’ Up’s Beautiful Florals!!!
So instead, my flowers this year will be ones created from Stampin’ Up products. The Textured Florals bundle is one I have not played with, so it’s pulled for today’s FB LIVE. My color combo of Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, and Old Olive are perfect for this beautiful floral card! Adding texture with the embossing paste makes for fast work with Stampin’ Up products. This was my first time using Shimmery Embossing Paste and I added a couple of dots from the Fresh Freesia Refill for color. To speed up the drying time of the embossing paste, I used the heat tool. So many uses for this tool besides embossing powder!!!
Playing With Embossing Paste and Shimmery Embossing Paste!
Today’s FB LIVE is doing double duty since our Techniques Club is focusing on the embossing pastes and masks this week! Remember, work smarter, not harder!!!! Final Thoughts….
This week is also incredibly busy with Stamp ‘n Sip (already prepped and ready thank goodness!!), our Techniques Club ( this is the first group, the NEW Techniques Club starts in August and we have an opening left!!) and mutiple appointments for both Pool Boy and me. Not a day is free on the calendar and Pool Boy can’t keep the schedule straight, so we are taking it one day at a time. Throw in the arrival of Megan and the granddaughters Sunday and our house will be a zoo! They will be here all week, so other than the Christmas Card Class at church, all other stamping activities will be the same – taking it one day at a time!!! But that’s ok – we will gladly take them whenever we can!!!
Until tomorrow, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!!!!!
