Let’s take another look at creating a super cute Halloween card with some of our DSP’s not meant for Halloween!!! Stampin’ Up has told us that there will be a Halloween DSP coming in September with the new scrapbook kits and product line they are introducing to EVERYONE, but it’s still possible to create a Halloween card in August!
For the DSP I turned to the Flowering Zinnia pack!!!! This is such a beautiful DSP with the bold, cheerful colors of flowers, but the reverse of these patterns have a couple that will work for Halloween as well! And It was those patterns that set my color combo of Black, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and Pumpkin Pie.
This set has such cute dies, it was really hard to stop playing! There’s bottles, a cat, more bubbles – everything you need to cook up a little hocus pocus! I turned to the Old Olive Glimmer specialty paper – part of the Simply Zinnia Suite! – for my potion ooze and bubbles. The Basic white mat that anchors everything together has colors added with a blending brush – Daffodil Delight on the top, Pumpkin Pie in the middle, Old Olive below.
The books and bird were colored with the same combo, then items are popped on to the card from with glue dots and dimensionals.

Final Thoughts…..
I will be back tomorrow with a couple of thank you cards using the same layout as the Halloween card above. Once you come up with a layout you like, grab a notebook and sketch it for future use!!!! Having this card will make the actual prep work so much faster and easier since all of the measuring will have been done!
Until next time, have a great day, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!
