I needed a quick card for posting today so first thing I did was turn to what’s on my work table – three pieces of embossed card stock from yesterday and packages of Tea Boutique because I had been pulling selected pieces to use for our St. Patrick’s Day sampler class. How to turn that into a fast card!!!
Yesterday’s post had three different cardstocks embossed – Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky, and Fresh Freesia which ALSO happens to be in the Tea Boutique DSP!!! Score!!! Keeping the label centered in the middle of the card allows the embossing folders to take centerstage and shine. So look at that label —–
Can you see how I altered the die above??? Simply reducing the heighth by 1/4 inch on the top and bottom changed the look!!! Who says you can’t adjust and change our die cuts?? I paired the altered Fresh Freesia label (FYI – this is a die cut found in the Designer Tags set – #159165) with a rectangular piece of Starry Sky, then took one of the teapot DSP pieces and cut it so I I had teapots in Fresh Freesia and also Starry Sky. I’ve an excess of Fresh Freesia open weave ribbon which I know will be retiring later next month, so use that as well as the 2021-23 In Color Opal rounds to embellish, and done!
Don’t stress about starting from scratch everytime you go to craft. Stamping and crafting should be relaxing without worrying about “where to start”! Look at what’s available at hand and make it work!!!
Until tomorrow, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!
