Life has certainly gotten noisy and busy around our house with the arrival of our granddaughters and Megan. They arrived late Sunday afternoon and life in the house is full of energy compared with just Shelby the canine diva, Pool Boy, and me here. We loaded up and took pizza to Evan and Rachel’s house so everyone could enjoy some time with Cal who is close to crawling – doesn’t seem possible he’s old enough for that already!
This weekend I also participated in a craft retreat in our community. Pool Boy thought I was kind of nuts loading up my handy craft wagon with stacks of card stock, paper cutter, and other needed items just to go sit at my table and cut/score/prep for two days. I, however, enjoyed it immensely!!! Able to sit and get my work completed for the Christmas Card Class coming this week without having to do laundry, empty the dishwasher, run errands, etc. Two days to simply focus on what needed to be accomplished, and I DID JUST THAT!!! By lunch time Saturday I had everything cut and ready to package! Loved it so thank you to Penny and Libbi for hosting the crop!!!
Final Thoughts….
There must have been close to 25 people in attendance with everything from paper crafts to painting to sewing projects. There were old friends, new friends, former students, parents of students. Different craft companies were represented as well. And it was a wonderful experience gathering and creating with others around. I hope you have the opportunity to participate in something like that some time. To simply focus on crafting while gathering with friends – the best of times.
I’ve no idea what this week will bring with the house full. Pretty sure FB LIVES are off the table, but I am hoping to still find some time to play while the girls are with me. They love craft time and look forward to seeing what Nana can pull out for them to do. We tried blowing bubble hydrangeas this afternoon for a little science experiment as well. I’ve several other things up my sleeve, so they won’t get bored! Until next time I’m back, find some time to craft and create yourself, and God Bless!!!

Well, the whole blowing bubble hydrangeas was a fiasco – explains why I never posted pictures!- but they sure loved it! LOL
