After the push of these last few weeks, it was nice to have a quiet weekend at home! I worked on planting more flower pots, and doing the everyday things that kept being pushed to the back burner because of something else more pressing. We had dinner with “framily” (the whole friends that are close enough to be family thing), and just enjoyed a slow pace for a couple of days. This time next weekend we will have the granddaughters visiting for several days so I’d best enjoy a few slower paced days this week. Won’t happen while they are visiting!
I’m currently working on some masculine card ideas, and I wanted to create one that would hold a gift card. I received a great card in the swaps while in Mexico using the Under The Moon stamp set and a similar color combo, so how to add a gift card pocket to the card was my challenge.
Easy!!! By scoring at 1 1/2 inches and punching a tab out on the end, then scoring the card again at 4 1/4 inches, I was able to fold up the bottom section and tape the edges, then fold up the bottom flap of the card base.
I changed the colors from Night Of Navy and Pumpkin Pie to Night of Navy and Calypso Coral, turned the message and inside greeting into another folded piece of cardstock and challenge met!
