Thursday was our final day in Seattle, and I had multiple things I wanted to see. Pool Boy had just one thing – he wanted to see the fish being tossed at Pike Place Fish Market. We drove around downtown late Wednesday afternoon trying to scope out where we could find parking without him having to do much walking with the fractured patella, and decided it probably wasn’t going to happen. Too busy with people and cars, and the market is a block off the nearest street for him to drive.

BUT luck was with us!!!! After he dumped me off at the seafood entrance a block away, I walked down to the market, and right at the entrance THERE WAS HANDICAP PARKING!!!! A quick phone call, and just a few minutes later he arrived. Security even moved the road barriers when they saw the handicap sticker. He walked in and saw multiple fish being packaged for ladies from the east coast. His wish list was complete!

I also wanted to see the beautiful flowers available for bouquets – they were stunning!!! Prices ranged from $10 to $25 per bouquet. Flowers were almost walking out the door as fast as they designed and arranged them. I was surprised to see multiple people carrying bouquets onto the cruise ship last week too. I wanted so much to purchase a bouquet but didn’t want to hold it all the way home tomorrow on the plane – assuming I could keep them nice in our hotel room overnight.

After the fish and flowers, Pool Boy took me to Chihuly’s glass museum and dropped me off for several hours – this was NOT on his bucket list! I was in awe at the beautiful colors and shapes displayed, and was able to watch a couple of glass blowing demonstrations as well. More photos will be on my FB page this weekend.

What wasn’t really on my bucket list was the Space Needle, but since it was right next to the Chihuly museum I decided to take a vertical ride to the top of the iconic Seattle tourist site. This picture doesn’t really do justice to how far up we were since I zoomed in on the cruise ship, but the sights were breathtaking. I was good looking around, but sitting on one of the benches that lean back against the glass partition – couldn’t do that. The leaning thing wigged me out.

And of all things – when we left the hotel this morning THERE WAS MOUNT RAINIER! Not visible during the three days we were there in the park!!! Today’s blue skies replaced the misty rainy stuff and again – stunning.

Just a reminder that FREE SHIPPING continues thru Saturday, June 13 on qualifying orders of $75 or more. This is the best time to take advantage of things such as adhesives, cardstock, envelopes, etc. And if your favorite bundle that you have yet to order jumps in your cart, so be it!!!
Final Thoughts…..
Pool Boy and I are ready to head home from this incredible trip we’ve experienced. We had great weather in Alaska, had a great fishing trip, experienced everything we wanted to see in Seattle – even if Mount Rainier didn’t cooperate. Thank you to Stampin’ Up’! for this wonderful opportunity! But more importantly, thank you to each of you who have taken a class, watched a FB live, commented on a post, and supported my very small business. You truly are the reason this trip happened, and I am humbly thankful that you helped me to earn it.
At this point I have to add the following disclaimer: Trips such as this are not typical for all demonstrators. Less than 1% of the demonstrators achieve these results.
I’ll be home late tonight, and home for the weekend, but come Monday my family and I will be heading to Kansas City for a family funeral. Even during wonderful times such as this trip, sadness occurs. I hope to post something Monday morning before we leave. Until then, have a wonderful weekend, find time to craft, to create, and to spend time with your loved ones. God Bless!
Love,
Lola and Pool Boy!
