Good morning and welcome to Friday!!! Woo Hoo!!! Our granddaughters have their last day of school today, while others in our area have been out for a week or two already. Do you remember the excitement of the last day of school as a kid? We were so excited to have summer upon us, and I I road my bike for miles each summer. We would hop on our bikes and ride all over town – to the library, to the little grocery store, piano lessons, etc. We played outside til it was time to come eat, then back out we went until the streetlights came on and we had to go home. We use to have a movie pass that my parents bought every summer with 8-10 tickets. Each week we walked to the movie theater, had a small bag of popcorn and drink, and watched some old kid movie that the theater was able to rent fairly cheap – it was like the highlight of the week!
Times have changed though, and now we wouldn’t dream of letting our kids ride wherever they wanted. We have summer schools and daycamps to keep kids safe, secure and active. We drive them to the theaters versus letting them walk, and unfortunately piano lessons are fewer because fewer people are giving lessons. I miss those simpler times.
Have You Checked Out Encircled In Nature????
Today’s card is one I shared yesterday at our masculine card class. It’s like a nod back to old times, with the worn wood dsp and the tree tops of a forest area, isn’t it?? This is the Encircled In Nature bundle that can only be found in the Online Exclusive tab of the online store. There are SO MANY goodies there, but they appear hidden – UNLESS you check out the Online Exclusive Tab!!!! These products can be ordered anytime, not simply online. Can you order an online exclusive product for one of my classes or events? Of course! The problem is you have to look and see what’s there because it is not included in the catalog.
The DSP is from the Country Woods DSP that I used yesterday – be sure to check this paper out because there are so many different patterns. I paired Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie together for cardstocks and ink, then added the adhesive backed swirl dots from the Latte Suite for embellishments. The ribbon is a retired one that I had in my ribbon stash – remember, I feel like ribbon is fair game even if retired. If it’s a current color I hold on to it!

Final Thoughts….
It’s a rainy day here in northeast Missouri and today is going to be a laidback one, with just a few things on the list. Pool Boy took a spill yesterday on the deck but luckily he is ok. No bruises, no abrasions, just a little sore luckily. We have a quiet couple of days before the girls are here, so rest will be a good thing! Possibly keeping toddler Cal tonight for a couple of hours.
Grandparenting is such a wonderful thing. We are blessed. Until next time, have a wonderful Memorial Day, and God Bless!
