Good morning and can you believe this is the last Sunday of January?????? I have become more and more of a homebody, treasuring our time together. Not that Pool Boy and I get lots of things accomplished, but it’s nice to relax and simply watch the snow fall. It forces you to slow down and chill – two things I’m NOT very good at!!!
I’m on a Valentine theme right now, and plan to continue the next few days. I do love Real Red for Valentine themed cards and projects, but Flirty Flamingo is also beautiful for these cards as well. I’m thankful Stampin’ Up paired the two colors together in their Most Adored DSP selection during Sale-A-Bration.
My make and take for our bingo night was on my work table, so I simply used it as my starting point for today’s card!!! Switch out cardstock, switch out DSP, use different dies – get a completely new card! I paired the Thoughtful Expressions dies with the Adoring Hearts bundle, and simply worked with a monochromatic look featuring Flirty Flamingo ink, cardstock, and DSP.
I FOUND A SMALL HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY STAMP!!!!! And it’s current in the Annual Catalog!!! Last week I was commenting how I wished we had another stamp besides the one in the Bee Mine stampset, and by pure luck I pulled out the Love For You stampset. So nice to have a couple of choices!!!!
To close and open the card, simply layer a small diecut on dimensionals, such as the heart in the bottom right corner. Be sure to place it where you can just barely tuck the flap behind it.
Above is the card I designed for our bingo make and take. Again, I used the Adoring Hearts hybrid embossing folder but my cardstock was Sweet Sorbet with the Bee Mine DSP.

Final Thoughts….
We shift into football mode this afternoon to watch our KC Chiefs take on the Ravens for the AFC Championship. We are heading to my “brother from a different mother”s house and my apple crisp is ready to go. Pool Boy was up early this morning making his jalepeno cream cheese rolls and they are ready to pop in the oven. He also has a pepper jelly dip prepared to take as well. Yesterday’s dinner was a delicious pot roast with carrots, onions, and mashed potatoes. I’m on cooking detail for breakfast today, and I DO have it covered.
McMuffins from McDonald’s!!!!! LOL!!!!!! (It’s the traditional Sunday morning breakfast as we head to church!!!) I hope you have a great day crafting, enjoying time with family and loved ones, and God Bless!
