I love how Stampin’ Up uses alliteration in naming their products. Wild Wheat, Moody Mauve, Melon Mambo – it actually helps remember the names! And a true stamper thinks in those color names. As an example, when we look at someone wearing a coral colored shirt, we are apt to comment “how nice you look in Caypso Coral!” Or maybe “I’m looking for a new piece of jewelry to wear with this Berry Burst dress”. Maybe these are not the best examples, but you get the gist, right? Pool Boy once commented about the whole “food fetish” thing with the names too. He said the company was obviously run by women! LOL!!
One Of Last Night’s Christmas Cards!!!
At last night’s card class we focussed on using three of the new embossing folders from the Holiday mini catalog. I paired the Forever Forest stamp set with the Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder for the background. With both first and second generation stamping you get the look of a forest with simply one stamp, add a greeting and ribbon, and finished!!! A perfect card to use even after Christmas!
Final Thoughts….
This has been a busy week and we are just at midway point. Today’s work is finishing up goody bags and make and takes for Thursday night’s bingo, then Friday we shift into paper/ribbon share mode! When I placed the order for the paper shares in the wee hours of Sept. 6 – the day the catalog went live – Stampin’ Up was already sold out of two of the DSPS. All About Autumn was unorderable. It was available again Monday evening, and by midday Tuesday sold out again. Luckily I was able to grab what I needed to finish the paper shares so I will be gathering with a couple of friends to cut and package everything. Will post a pick before mailing! Until then, have a great day and try to find some time to stamp, craft, and create! God Bless!!!
