Good morning everyone!!! Have you gotten your list ready to take advantage of the FREE SHIPPING day from Stampin’ Up??? I’ve placed the first order of the day, and am planning to place one more for my locals this evening. Shipping is so costly now, it’s hard to let days like this go by without gathering the savings for sure.
Playing With My First New Sale-A-Bration Item!

Between trying to get everything ready for our family’s early Christmas AND then getting sick I simply have not had time to play with any of the new items from Sale-A-Bration nor the Spring Mini preorder. Yesterday, I grabbed the stamp set Watercolor Melons and shared on my FB LIVE. For the color combo I paired Sweet Sorbet with Granny Apple Green, and since there are no greetings in the stamp set, I turned to the Sweetest Cherries stamps. With the addition of a sponge to add texture of color I was able to creat a watermelon background along with the melon wedges in the stamp set.
Notice the cute label die with Basic White???? That came straight from the Perennial Postage bundle also included in the new spring catalog. These were one of the first dies I ordered because I love to add labels to my collection. Label dies are so versatile and stand alone, meaning you do not have to purchase the coordinating stamp set unless you choose to. My suggestion to all new stampers is to start with basic shapes – you can use for multiple occasions, multiple uses. Build your stamping collection around those label dies that you will reach for over and over.
Final Thoughts….
Although I am feeling better, we decided to cancel out of our trip to Megan’s house today for the girls’ Christmas program. It’s been on my calendar since the beginning days of school and I was so looking forward to being there. After years of two Christmas programs – and some years of 2 additional winter concerts – I so enjoy watching the kids as they perform for their families. Last year’s programs were the “Tales of Two Concerts”. Little Fiona’s daycare was part of a private school and I was struggling to stay in my seat because I was wanting to get up there and take charge. Megan and Pool Boy were laughing at me “twitching and cringing” in my seat, especially when they had a student playing the woodblock with no rhythm. Nora’s on the other hand was exceptional. Great songs, actions, and hustling those kids on the risers – there is an art to putting those programs together and so much prep to make it run like clockwork. Luckily Megan found out they will live stream it tonight so we will watch from our recliners. Maybe next year! I should be back tomorrow for one more post, then will be missing over the weekend while we have everyone here for an early Christmas.
Until then, find time to do what you love, stay healthy, and God Bless!!!
