After a long and emotionally charged day yesterday, I obviously hit the proverbial wall because it was 8:51am when I woke – sleeping in is something I rarely do!
Evan and Megan rode with us to the city for the funeral, and I realized it has been forever since just the four of us spent the day together. I love their spouses and their children dearly, but just to have our tiny 4 person unit together again was wonderful. We laughed, remembered, spent time together and enjoyed the time. Pool Boy and I commented that was the longest brother and sister sat together without fighting and getting into trouble like their childhood days.
So between being wiped out last night and getting a late start today, I’ve no project BUT I do have this recent picture of our sweet Ben enjoying his first piece of lemon meringue pie from Sunday night! He has grown so much, and yes, he DOES have a mullet hair cut – it’s business in the front, party in the back. His favorite person is his momma and he is in constant motion, and even though he’s not talking much at 20 months, from his facial expressions and arm movement you can tell he’s already mouthy and sassy in baby gibberish. I love it!
