Welcome to June!!!! How is it possible that we are in the sixth month of 2023 already???? Lots of things happening this month, but as I was gathering up my supplies for the Men’s Card Class I wanted to share a quick tip on getting a better inked image with the DistINKtive Stamps!
A Rubber Eraser Is A Great Tool!!
I don’t know about you, but usually my first stamped images have splotches and blotches and I’m never really happy with it. Here is a trick I have found that will help to eliminate those blotches and splotches to get a smoother, clearer inked image!
I keep a clean, rubber eraser at my work area to help reduce those splotches and blotches!!! Look at the picture below – in number 1 I simply inked my stamp with the Write Markers, then stamped. Notice the spots all over?????
With a LIGHT TOUCH I carefully rubbed my eraser over the rubber stamp, then using a microfiber cloth I wiped clean, and re-inked. Can you see the difference in number 2????? BIG CHANGE!
Again, with a LIGHT TOUCH, I rubbed a second time to even out the surface, then reinked and stamped. Not much difference, so I’m good with my stamp in this condition! Simply an eraser improved my stamping quality!
Happy Mail Is The Best!!!
I love happy mail, and when you are gone on vacation, you may get more than usual!!! Yesterday going through the pile I received these cards below (also several boughten ones for graduation gifts, but who wants to see boughten cards here????). Even the wedding shower invitation is stamped!! Thank you gals for taking the time to make and send these cards – homemade cards mean much more, don’t they?
