Happy Monday everyone!!! We had a wonderful weekend with the house full of family. Megan and the granddaughters came, Evan and his family popped in several times, and Great was visiting as well. Papa Pool Boy arranged for the grands to go to our friend’s farm to feed the lambs and while they were there they gathered chickens, got to pet a cow that was kind of like the female version of Ferdinand the Bull – she wanted out of her pen and did a cow skip/prance dance to be by the people. Never seen anything like it – she’s definitely a people cow!!!! The girls had a blast, since living in the city they don’t have experiences quite like that. Cal was loved on my the yellow labs and even the Great Pyrenese dog didn’t faze him. He just rolled with, AND them!
Since the girls won’t be here for Easter we had an Easter egg hunt as well, and the weekend ended with church, Chinese, then good-byes. Today Pool Boy is taking Great home, then it’s just the two of us again. Great weather, great visits, and everyone home safe and sound to begin the week.
Using The Retiform Technique With Beauty Of The Deep!

If you are like me, you’ve spent lots of time playing with products from the Jan/April Mini Catalog, and I know I have a tendency to turn to the same colors when I create. Today’s card has pushed me out of that comfort zone with a new technique, a stampset I’ve not used, and colors I RARELY use!!! I demonstrated this card today on my FB LIVE using the colors of Blueberry Bushel and Azure AFternoon. The retiform technique is very easy to recreate and uses post-it notes for masking, a blending brush for shading, and patience to not spoil the effect. You probably know by now the patience thing is the hardest for me to do!
If you missed my FB LIVE you can always watch the recording by clicking on the link below. While you are there, please follow and like me so you receive notifications of future FB LIVES, stamping events and classes, as well as current promotions from Stampin’ Up!!! Everyone of those likes, follows, and emoji’s helps to grow my very small business, and for that I thank you for supporting me!!!!
