Our home is soon to be taken over by a group of bakers – our daughter, the granddaughters, and a dear family friend. They are gearing up for what has become the “Deer Season Bake Off”! The first weekend of deer season where they gather and bake most of the day! Cinnamon rolls, cookies, apple dumplings, etc. – by the end my kitchen island will be covered in delectable treats and they will be worn out but oh so happy. Of course, we are recipients of some of those treats!
I will be in the dining room participating in our virtual On-Stage event for Stampin’ Up that day as well. The plan is for the granddaughters to also be a part of the baking and they will love it. Megan is so good about involving the girls in her activities, and Nora will be right there mixing and baking. Fi on the other hand will be in and out of the kitchen and I predict she will be busy crafting beside me. She loves to draw so by the end of the weekend the refrigerator will have another grouping of kindergarten masterpieces!

Final Thoughts….
The girls’ school participates in a program called Artsonia. Understand, this is a moneymaking endeavor and throughout the year I am apt to end up with magnets and Christmas ornaments using their artwork as the catch, but I’m ok with that because I get to see all of their creative works too! I love the detail on Fiona’s self portrait – the eyelashes all curved the same way, the heart dimples, even nostrils on the nose and the tear ducts by the eyes. With Nora working on cursive you can see Fi is adding her own cursive attempts with her name! I would love to have this masterpiece gracing my refrigerator! No sarcasm here, pure Nana-love.
Until tomorrow, have a great day, enjoy some crafting time, and God Bless!!!!
