Such a busy day for many families throughout the US with Thanksgiving just 24 hours away. Many will be baking the pies and desserts to serve tomorrow, along with hot rolls and maybe homemade noodles as well! AHH – the noodles!!! I grew up in mid Missouri and NO ONE served noodles for Thanksgiving!!! Dressing (or stuffing as some say), mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes — all of those are traditional sides, but noodles wasn’t one of them. My first year teaching in NW Missouri everyone was concerned over who was making the noodles for our Thanksgiving carry-in. I mentioned it at our family Thanksgiving dinner – no one had heard of such. BUT come Christmas dinner a month later, MY WONDERFUL MOTHER had made NOODLES and after that, it became a traditional side for us as well.
Building A Collage Background With Ranunculus Romance
While attending On Stage in Arlington Pam and I had the opportunity to join others in a messy, creative day of stamping with Melissa Kerman from Melissa’s Stamping Treehouse. PLEASE check her website out on line – such creative ideas and techniques!!! We made a collage background using the Graceful Tiles stamp set and the colors of Starry Sky, Orchid Oasis, and Tahitian Tide. I recreated the process last night on our FB group page Stamp. Ink. Paper – Creating With Pam And Lola using the Ranunculus Romance stamps. Want to see this card created?? Please click on the link below and request to join our FB page – we are close to 300 members of paper crafting, stamp loving people! We are not perfect, we do not edit, but we are real and have a great time sharing our creations with others!

Final Thoughts…
I don’t do lots of the daily cooking through the year, but Thanksgiving is one meal that I do cook. Tomorrow it will just be Jim and I for dinner since this is the year of the kids going to their spouses’ families, but it will be the full menu from turkey, to dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, rolls, cranberry relish, and yes, noodles. We will have tons of left-overs but it’s my one day to relive my childhood and remember the wonderful smells coming from my mom’s kitchen. She was a wonderful cook and I do not deviate from this menu in honor of her. Even for just the two of us.
Except the homemade noodles. Mine will be Reame’s. Shhh!!! Don’t tell!!!!
God’s Blessings on each of you this Thanksgiving, and God Bless the USA. Love to all –
