It has been a busy week between my stamping events, prepping, and home maintenance. Back in late spring our town was hit with a horrible hail storm and I hate to think how much money the insurance companies have paid out for the community in claims. The roofing companies will be well into next year before they have completed all of the jobs simply from hail damage. They worked at our house for over 13 hours, and the next day they were finished, cleaned up, and completely gone by lunchtime. Next on the list is painting, gutters, and window screens. Thank goodness for these small businesses that are able to serve our community in northeast Missouri!!!
One Of Tonight’s Make And Takes For Bingo!
At our Stampin’ Up bingo nights, we do a couple of make and takes that are quick to assemble. Mine will be sharing the Night Divine Bundle from the Holiday mini catalog. I paired Very Vanilla and Basic Black with Boho Blue for this beautiful nativity scene. Since we have such a large number of participants Pam and I stamp and package our make and takes ahead of time, then everyone receives written directions and pictures to assemble during a 20 min. break between games. To create the halo effect I cut a mask the same size as the Very Vanilla panel. Taking a circle punch I punched out about 3/4 of the circle from the bottom of the mask. To quickly produce 30 panels, I overlaid the mask on top of the panel and added a layer of color with my blending brush and Daffodil Delight. So fast!!! And if you haven’t seen this Stars At Night Hybrid embossing folder in person – it’s beautiful. Someone at class this week said the catalog doesn’t do it justice and she is so right!!!
Final Thoughts….
Bingo goody bags are packed, prizes are boxed and ready, make and takes will soon be in the bags as well. I will post pictures tomorrow of our prizes and the participants. We are ready! I received this picture last night of baby Cal and I had to share! He and his parents have survived several long weeks of painful teething but all 8 of his teeth are completely in and you can tell from his sweet eyes he’s back to his happy self. Nana knows there’s a grin behind that moustache pacifer. Poor boy – our family has a warped sense of humor as noted from the moustache!!! He doesn’t stand a chance!!! Until next time, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!!!!
