Good morning paper crafting friends! I said end of last week I’d be back with retreat pictures and did you get any? Nope – nada – zilch! We completely wore ourselves out Friday finishing up with organizing, packaging, and setting up for the Spring Retreat but it was worth every minute. We had a wonderful turn out in person, had a group of five ladies who gathered virtually in Clarence (just 10 miles from us, so one of the gals came over and picked up all of the materials), and the kits were sent by mail to the remaining people attending virtually! And there is already discussion to host a summer retreat! Lots of good stuff and I will be sharing the make and takes with you next week along with the retreat pictures that I DID take, just had no energy to post!
A Perfect Card For a Huge Baseball Fan!
Over almost 40 years of teaching I’ve worked with a larger number of principals then most teachers. Most teachers only report to one principal, but teaching music in multiple school buildings yearly, I sometime had three different admins. I’ve been very fortunate to work with many good, strong leaders, a couple that were not so “hotsy-totsy”, and several that were excellent. My final year of teaching is working with a gentleman who falls in the excellent category. Dave Samuel has created a wonderful, safe environment with high expectations and incredible leadership, and I feel blessed to have worked with him my last three years, especially when you throw COVID into the mix! He has recently accepted the position of superintendent at another district and I know he will continue to grow and prosper as a strong leader in education. ( FYI- my evaluation is already in the books so no brown nosing here!) All true! Being a HUGE baseball fan, this card is perfect to celebrate his promotion from the minor league of administration to the Majors!
