Just One More Waterside Retreat Post!

We had a busy weekend with all of the kids home as well as Jim’s mom Elda visiting. With Onstage and trips and work, besides the Easter holiday, it was the first time we could be together to celebrate Pool Boy’s 70th birthday that happened in early March. Better late than never, right? But now, every one is back home except for Elda, and Pool Boy is already on the road taking her to Alma. Come Thursday we will be headed to Destin for a short but much needed get away ourselves.

I wanted to share my last Waterside Retreat card for the Accountability group this week. There will be 6 people participating, and each has selected a different bundle or suite from the new catalog to share ideas. Next week while I’m away from my craft room I’ll be posting these ideas to share with you!!!

I love a plaid paper. If there’s a plaid pattern in the package that DSP is heading to my house. But, I’d yet to use this pattern in any of my previous cards! I simply turned to my paper cutter only for creating this card. Avid paper crafters love all of the die cuts and punches, but sometimes simple is best.

More and more I’m using the patterns with the numerous small mats for cards. I just recently pushed myself to use these mats more as a springboard for cards! Do you find yourself ignoring them like I did, or do you embrace those mats for some quick crafting starts?

Tomorrow is our in person gathering for the Homemade Sweetness Pop Up Mega class!! Pool Boy has run so many die cuts to prepare for this class, and I’m thankful we started over two weeks ago with prepping! Kits for those being mailed out are packaged and ready for pick up Tuesday! Always exciting to wrap up a class, whether in person or mailed!

Bingo Dates Are Set!!!! Mark On Your Calendar!!!!

Be sure to add the following dates to your calendar!!! Pam and I have two types of Bingo – In Person at our church as well as an online speed bingo night!!! Each are very different – different goody bags, different ideas, even the game is somewhat different!!! If you’ve yet to play speed bingo, IT IS SUPER SIMPLE!!! More info will follow, but here are the dates:

• IN PERSON BINGO on TUESDAY May 12!!! Goody bag will include the BLOOM BOUTIQUE DSP and IN COLOR CARD STOCK!!!
• ONLINE SPEED BINGO is on THURSDAY, May 21! Goody bag will include the COASTAL SCENE DSP and includes a CARD KIT as well!!!!

We have people who participate in BOTH BINGOS (some even just pay for the goody bag even though they can’t gather with us!) Be watching for sign ups to both (we’ve already got a list of our regulars started for online!)

Here’s a photo of our family from Jim’s little celebration. Thanks to Pam’s husband Bill for adding the banner via Chat whatever that is! Little Ben was getting squirrelly and ready to run, so he about slipped out of Papa Jim’s arms, and Fiona Margaret has an orange fake mustache on, but it’s all good! Megan and Adam are to the left, with Nora and Fiona, Elda (known as Great) is in the coral, and Evan and his wife Rachel are on the right with Cal and slippery Ben.
