Happy Labor Day to each of you! I always find Labor Day kind of a downer – not sure if it’s due to the knowledge it’s the end of summer or if it is because we are back in school full force which also implies summer is almost over. My husband on the other hand looks forward to Labor Day because for an avid hunter, it is the beginning of the hunting seasons with the opening of dove season. Kind of the glass half empty, half full thinking, isn’t it?!
Pretty Pumpkins Create Beautiful Cards!
This week’s posts will be focusing on the Pretty Pumpkin Bundle in Stampin Up’s Mini Catalog. This was one of my first must have sets with the beautiful fonts, the beautiful pumkin images, and the detailed dies. LOVE the lacy pumpkin die – and it cuts beautifully!! The color combo of Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent was inspired by a card designed by Julie Gilson, another Stampin Up demonstrator. Not at all the traditional fall colors with the softness and muted shades!
Color Combo Info:
I chose one of the designs from the Harvest Meadow DSP, and then embossed it with the Tasteful Texture folder. Blend colors are Dark Pale Papaya, Dark Soft Succulent, Dark Mint Macaron, and Light Calypso Coral.
The Genial Gems embellishments worked perfectly with the Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent colors, and I chose the Very Vanilla twine from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack. Five great neutral colors packaged together – Basic Black, White, Crumb Cake, Gray Granite, and Very Vanilla.
