Lady Bugs And Spring Time Scenes!

Well, I survived the dreaded tax day! No tears were shed, no blood pressure raised, and thankfully it’s behind us!

This week’s focus has been the Homemade Sweetness Suite, and we’ve churned out cards as well as a sampler. We’ve looked at swaps I received during OnStage using the same products as well. Today we are focusing on two product items that I’ve yet to use in the suite – the embossing folder and one pattern page found in the Made With Love DSP.

I love the DSP in the Homemade With Love DSP, but the lady bug pattern just didn’t seem to fit. It’s super cute, as is the ladybug/daisy embossing folder, but again – seems out of place. I get the whole “ladybugs and fruit flowers” gardening connection, but it just doesn’t work for me. It’s kind of like fish tacos – I like fish, I like tacos, but together it doesn’t work for me either! lol!

BUT it works with the Springtime Scenes bundle found in the Online Exclusives!!!! If you’ve yet to check this new bundle out give it another look. I love the intricate circle dies such as the circle die above cut with Secret Sea card stock. I paired it with the label and tiny flowers from the Homemade Sweetness bundle, then threw in a couple of lady bugs for the final touch.

Don’t be afraid to mix your products from bundles and suites! Many times our products can easily coordinate with other items, sometimes even better than the products they were intended for.
