Good morning everyone!!!! These next couple of weeks I want to return to the annual catalog for creating. As papercrafters, we are just like kids at Christmas!! When the new toys arrive we push the old to the back burner, and we do the same with our supplies. When the new mini arrives, that’s what we focus on. But our annual catalog is stuffed with goodies, and with just a couple of more months left before the new annual goes live, we need revisit and create with the oldies!
Color And Contour With The Scalloped Contours Dies!!
Color and Contours was one of the first stamp sets I purchased the year it was introduced! I loved the free-flowing images, and at the time it was bundled with the Scalloped Contours dies. The two products paired together made for fast and beautiful cards, and I used these for my swap cards during the Hawaii incentive trip that year. It has hung around in the annual catalog for 3-4 years – will it continue to make the cut for next year’s annual catalog???? Only Stampin’ Up knows!!!
I paired it with the black and white patterns in the Zoo Crew DSP, and added mats of Bubble Bath to make everything pop against the black bases. To color in the images I used Bubble Bath and Soft Sea Foam blends, BUT the images are also included in the stamps for adding color as well! My final touch was the addition of the bling – the opaque ovals and also another ribbon from the sheer ribbon combo pack I used yesterday. Everything for recreating this card can be found in our annual catalog!!!!

Final Thoughts….
We are heading to our son’s tonight to babysit Cal while parents go out for dinner. I’m thinking we have it best!!! He’s growing too quickly and is one busy little toddler investigating his world. We discovered it is much easier to babysit in his environment that has been baby-proofed versus ours where he wants to see everything!!! If you have yet to have grandkids, just know it’s truly one of the best things ever!!! It’s the reward for pulling our hair out raising their parents!!! Nothing warms the heart quite like seeing your own baby holding his own baby. Just sayin’.
