Let’s Continue With Adding Textures!

So this week I chose to work with adding texture to my paper crafting BESIDES simply turning to an embossing folder. We have a tendency to think that texture has to be something we feel, which is true, but texture can also be layers of medium and the process of adding it to the project. Sounds confusing, right?

Today’s Card Has Texture You Can’t Feel

Last night on our group page Stamp. Ink. Paper – Creating With Pam and Lola Pam and I were doing our weekly paper crafting projects and mine continued with the texture in a different way. You will see that I added a “belly band” of color to my basic white mat by first tearing guides for the belly band outside margins, then adding a light layer of color with the blending brushes. How did I get the spots on the band though??????

BUBBLEWRAP!!! I inked swaths of bubbles with our ink pads, than carefully laid it across the area of the bellyband – those outside torn margin pieces are still in place! – and using my sponge brayer I transfered the bubblewrap dots to the belly band. ANOTHER LAYER OF TEXTURE and not something you can feel.
