Let’s just get this out in the open right now – let’s go fishing with PAPER CRAFTING, NOT the real thing!!!! I’ve tried it, never enjoyed it! Standing/sitting there, watching this line and bobber on the water is not my idea of fun. Those that love it can do it day after day, all day long, and some even catch and release! I can’t do it! Too many things to do, too much stuff going through my head – BUT if you can throw in paper crafting with it, I’m GAME!!!!
Lovin’ The Let’s Go Fishing DSP!!
Last night was my Men’s Card Class and this was one of the cards we created. This is a great fun fold idea – easy to make and prep – but has a wow factor by not being the traditional card style. I paired the Nested Essentials Dies (FYI – you NEED these dies and they are on page 165 of the annual catalog). These are a “stand alone” die set that has NO corresponding stamp set so you will not find them in a bundle.
When I was designing this card I debated about making it horizontal AND using another color combination found in the DSP package. I’ll come back tomorrow and share that card and you can decide which you prefer.
And the greeting was from the stamp set Very Best Occassions. This is a great combination of greetings for all needs – birthday, thinking of you, sympathy, even Christmas!
Final Thoughts…
With Stamp ‘n Sip coming next week along with the Techniques class I’ve a busy weekend of prepping. Give me a weekend of creating with paper, ink, and stamps – I can do it all day, day after day! Much better than a fishing rod, a line, and a bobber. LOL! Maybe flyfishing would be better for me with the constant flicking of the line???? I have to say I’m envious of those who DO enjoy fishing with the time to reflect, enjoy nature, and are able to sit and relax. I don’t do the sitting/relaxing thing well!
