Well, I think today’s card is rather apt seeing how I can’t go LIVE on FB right now! LOL!!! We are still working and wading our way through the “FB Bog” but there is a plan in place in case moving forward, so all will be fine!
Team Meeting Tonight So Taco Fiesta Is On The Agenda!
Last month at our team meeting several requested to try the Rubber Band Technique so that’s the plan! And you know I firmly believe in “work smarter not harder” so why not pair it with the Taco Fiesta stamp set this week? I hope you will forgive me because I am using a couple of retired products with the Poppy Parade DSP and also the Granny Apple Green Gems in my card. I do like to purchase the packets of 6×6 DSP for our color collections (the brights, regals, etc.) but I prefer smaller patterns and this year’s DSP packet prints are too large for me. Personal preference though, because you may love them!!! It all works!
My color combo above is Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, and Granny Apple Green in both the cardstocks and the blends. I have shared the Rubber Band Technique before so if you search the topic “technique” in my search bar you should be able to pull it up!
Tax Free Weekends Apply To Stampin’ Up Products As Well!!!
With the start of school quickly approaching it’s also time to begin the whole “school supply shopping” time!! Many states have an assigned weekend designated as tax free for school items and clothing, and Stampin’ Up also can participate! Click on the link below to see which states participate, the designated weekend, as well as what products can be purchased tax free!!! Quick comment – many states have a max. total price limit PER ITEM! For us in Missouri, I believe it’s $50 limit. That is PER ITEM, not TOTAL PURCHASE. So with dimensionals priced $4.25, I can order up to 11 packages to keep it under $50 total. That 12th one’s gonna get charged tax!! Make sense????

Final Thoughts…..
A couple of years ago our daughter Megan shared with me that she purchases a third set of school supplies while shopping with her girls. Megan only has Nora and Fiona, but because of me being a teacher she always takes in extra supplies to the girls’ school each year and donates in my name. She knows from growing up with a teacher how much of our personal money was used to buy supplies for our classroom children. I encourage you to pick up some school supplies and drop them off at your local school to have on hand. It’s a very easy but deeply appreciated thing to do.
And I am so very proud of Megan for her back to school tradition. She’s a keeper for sure!!!
Have a great day, stay cool my friends, and God Bless!!!
