If you’ve followed me for a while you know that when it comes to Christmas trees, I love them. So much so, we have FIVE trees fulling decorated in our house. All 7 foot or more, and loaded with ornaments. We’ve collected ornaments for years from our vacations, as well as a tree loaded with ornaments Pool Boy and I crafted over the years. There’s a gold and crystal tree in our kitchen as well as a Jim Shore’s tree in our dining room, and of course there has to be a loaded Kansas City Chiefs tree in our family room! Picture at the end of the post will show you one of the treasured ornaments.
In the past years all of the trees came down before the middle of January EXCEPT the Chiefs tree. Pool Boy deemed in necessary to leave that tree standing until they lose in the play-offs or win the Super Bowl. The last couple of years that tree didn’t come down until mid February, but if they don’t start playing better it will be coming down earlier this year. Come on guys!!!

I ran multiples of the decorative dies with glimmer, shimmer, and foil Specialty paper – many of them are already retired but I have AN EXTENSIVE collection of these papers so time to use!! I just started pairing the dies with different cardstock colors – no rhyme or reason. And using the adhesive from Amazon made it SO EASY!!! You need to check it out – I know several friends have already ordered packages!
I love Stampin’ Up’s adhesive sheets BUT this product was also awesome to work with. Click on the link below to find the adhesive sheets I used from Amazon:
Final Thoughts…..
So this close up photo from our main Christmas tree shows you how eclectic the decorations are but also one of our most treasured. This photo shows ornaments from Ireland, Hawaii, Norway, Switzerland, and Germany, along with an ornament I received from a student back around 1985. But the most treasured and hanging front and center of the tree – a tiny wooden bear (his face is turned away from the photo) hanging from a wooden bell. Purchased in 1982 – the year we were married – from WAL-MARTS!!! Hanging right new to a Waterford shamrock! That ornament hasn’t missed a Christmas yet of being front and center, representing the year we were together.
Even though it’s from Wally World, I believe it deserves to be treasured. Have a wonderful day doing whatever makes you happy, and God Bless!!!

I love all the ideas for the decorative trees and also had to comment on your Christmas tree, I love you sharing all your sentimental ornaments and treasures, to me those are what makes a Christmas tree, all the memories, we bring out and share every year while adding new ones.
