These beautiful fall days we are experiencing could stay around all year for me. Here it is just a couple days away from October and people are still picking produce from their gardens. Those who planted flowers are enjoying the beauty of their containers and beds, and the lack of humidity is AWESOME!!! A good friend brought me tomatoes and they are delicious. I’d say “sweet as candy” but I tried that once with Pool Boy. He broke down and asked for a bite and proceeded to tell me that no candy tastes that bad! LOL!
But it’s also a time of end as the trees are starting to change color. Shorter days and cooler nights make for good sleeping, and with Halloween decorations in stores you know that Christmas is not far off.
Creating a Fall Scene With The Trucking Along Bundle!
This little frame was one Pam and gave in our spring retreat last year. It’s been sitting on my desk for a couple of months WAITING for a new design! I was designing our Stamp ‘n Sip sampler for next week using the Trucking Along bundle – and it is AWESOME! I’m breaking my arm here patting myself on the back though!! – so while all the stamps were out, I just went ahead and created this fall scene.
This frame starts with a basic white mat, then with the use of write markers, an acrylic block, and a spritzer, the background is created! With a stamped and punched truck as the focus I stamped and fussy cut the trees, added pieces for the truck bed, and a few white cloud dies from another die set, I pulled this together in less than an hour. Super cute, isn’t it???
Fall Retreat – A Gathering Of Friends – Coming Nov. 3 and 4!

Final Thoughts…
Pool Boy and I have bible study later this morning followed by a fish fry with those who attend. Most everyone who attends are retired couples our age, and it’s a very diverse group. It’s a very relaxed, low key time and we’ve ended by going to lunch with one or two of the other couples in attendance quite often. Yesterday Pool Boy was baking his pumpkin bars with the cream cheese icing and I have to say the fish better be good, otherwise I’m heading straight to dessert!!! I told a friend yesterday that Jim had been making this cake for 10 years or more, but when putting the recipe away I noticed the date – he received the recipe by email in 2002!!!!!! He has been making this cake every fall for over 20 years!!!!
