Good morning everyone and welcome to FRIDAY!!!! Even after being retired for 10 years there’s a nice lift to the spirits when you realize the weekend is almost here!! We were gifted tickets to a local fun raiser Saturday night, then We head to Kansas City Sunday morning for the Chiefs home game against the Chargers and we have visitors tailgating joining us!
One of our good friends that we met through Stampin’ Up has a grandson and his parents attending an NFL game for the first time and they are going to get the full Arrowhead experience. Preston is a huge fan of Patrick Mahomes and this weekend is his birthday treat. We’ve been in touch through emails and calls making arrangements and I’m pretty sure parents are almost as excited as Preston with the weekend they have planned.
I love the idea of giving an experience for a gift by making special memories that will last in hearts much longer than a toy or article of clothing. This weekend will be a gift Preston will never forget. And giving those experiences in a special card makes it all the nicer.
Today’s Gift Card Holder!!!
This is a revised version of my gift card holder from Tuesday Night’s FV LIVE. Isn’t this a pretty way to give a giftcard – or experience – to a friend or loved one????? And the DSP – A Walk In The Forest – has some beautiful patterns that lends itself to multiple cardmaking possibilities.
One of Stampin’ Up’s values is to make a difference in the life of others. So until the end of December Stampin’ Up is donating $3 from every package of this DSP to support those in need through donations to food banks and pantries. This is a value they share with not only demonstrators but their employees in the company by encouraging and supporting worthwhile projects in the USA and also in their overseas markets.
Final Thoughts….
I will be back tomorrow morning with the PDF of measurements so you can recreate the gift card holder above. Next week I will be putting together and announcing the final parts of a fun raiser I will be promoting in our community as well. Have you thought how your crafting talents can help the lives of others????
Two of my stamping friends create and sell greeting cards, then donates the money to Alzheimer’s research. A teammember organizes a group of ladies who makes and sells cards to help their local parish, and still other friends used their love of papercrafting to host a crop for almost 20 years to provide monetarily relief to our local food pantry. There are SO MANY ways to use your talents to help others. Are you able to make a difference too???
Until tomorrow, keep stamping, keep crafting, make a difference in the life of others, and God Bless!!!
